How to open a Faulu FanisiAccount from your phone

  • Use any Safaricom Mobile Phone
  • Type *356*3# from Safaricom Line. Ensure your line has not less than 10/=  Airtime
  • Dial or call this *356*3# using the normal calling button.
  • Language Selection: A self account opening pop up menu with 8 different languages is displayed for your selection. Here we type 1 to select English.
  • Type in your ID Number as it appears on your ID.
  • Key in your county location.
  • Key in your date of birth in the format given and in the way it appears on your ID
  • Key in your Mobile Number. SMS will be sent to this line.
  • A confirmation message advising you will be displayed. Wait for account details after a few minutes advising your account number
  • After a few minutes, you receive a short message advising you of your Customer Identity (CID) and your account No. A repeat of the process using the same details sends the error message shown.

    The service is currently available on Safaricom
  2. What if I already have an account with Faulu?
    You can open anothersavings account with Faulu for other purposes e.g. if you have a Hazina account you can open a Lengoaccount towards a “lengo” or goal of your choice with regular deposit towards achieving your goal.
  3. Do I need airtime to operate this service?
    Yes, you need at least Kshs 10 worth of airtime to operate this service.
  4. What if I do not have a phone, can someone else open for one on their phone?
    Yes you can have someone open an account for you, you need to ensure that all your credentials are correct whilst opening the account.
  5. How do I deposit in my account?
    You can easily start depositing money into your Faulu account using the Faulu Pay Bill Number 32 85 85 and follow instructions.
  6. Can I withdraw from my account?
    To withdraw visit any Faulu Bank or office with your ID and have your picture taken to allow us to confirm that you are the owner of the account.  You will be enrolled on our M banking service and you can start transacting on your phone.
  7. Can I access the service in any other language other than English?
    Yes you can access the service in 8 different languages: English, Kiswahili, Luhya, Kikuyu, Kamba, Kalenjin, Meru and Luo
  8. How can be sure that my money is safe once I deposit?
    Yes, your money is safe with Faulu Kenya which is a licensed deposit taking Microfinance by the Central Bank of Kenya.
